Hello, I just took a pan of this out of my oven.......so I thought that I might so ahead and send it out. Makes you house smell wonderful, and is a great fall dessert, especially when the meal is a pork roast!! Enjoy!! APPLE CRISP 5 cups Golden Delicious apples - peeled and sliced 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup butter or margarine 3/4 cup quick-cooking rolled oats 1/2 cup unsifted all-purpose flour 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup chopped nuts (almonds or pecans) Combine apple slices and 1/2 cup sugar in bottom of a 2-quart casserole. Mix butter, oats, flour, 1/2 cup sugar and nuts. Sprinkle butter and oat mixture over apples. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for about 1 hour until topping is browned and apples are tender. Serve warm. This is delicious topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
