from NY, US 1 pound tilapia or other mild thin fish fillets Marinade: Mix all well: 1/4 cup soy sauce 2 Tbs. sugar 3 large cloves garlic minced juice of one lime 1 tsp finely chopped ginger sprinkle of red pepper flakes Combine marinade ingredients in baking pan that will hold fillets in a single layer. Add fish, turn to coat and let fish sit 30 minutes. Turn at least another time in marinade during the half hour.. Heat broiler, setting rack closet to broiler. Broil 5 minutes, turn pan around and broil another 5 minutes or fish appears opaque. Spoon pan sauce over filets. Watch fish carefully so it does not burn when broiled. Serve with cooked rice and baked squash. Serves 4.
