BEEF BREAD This bread freezes beautifully, and is wonderful for sandwiches, either open-faced or double. BOIL: 1 cup water 1/3 cup sugar 1 cup raisins 1 cup ground cooked beef SOAK: 2 pkgs. yeast 1 tsp. sugar 1/2 cup warm water ADD: 1&1/2 cup potato water 3 Tbsp. melted shortening 1 Tbsp. molasses 1 cup whole wheat flour 2 cups graham flour 2 cups white flour Mix all ingredients with spoon. Let rise 10 minutes. ADD: 3 tsp. salt 1/2 cup chopped nuts 2 to 3 cups white flour Knead until smooth. Let rise approximately 10 minutes. Knead slightly again. Let rise until doubled; punch down; let rise again til doubled. Bake in 350 degree oven 40 to 45 minutes or until done.

BEEF BREAD

This

BOIL:
1 cup water
1/3 cup
sugar
1 cup raisins
1 cup ground
cooked beef

SOAK:
2 pkgs.
yeast
1 tsp.
sugar
1/2 cup warm water

ADD:
1&1/2 cup
potato water
3 Tbsp. melted
shortening
1 Tbsp.
molasses
1 cup whole
wheat flour
2 cups
graham
flour
2 cups white
flour

Mix all ingredients with spoon. Let rise 10 minutes.

ADD:

salt

flour

again. Let rise until doubled; punch down; let rise again til doubled.
