from NY, USA Broccoli chopped, cooked until crisp tender onion, sliced as desired almonds, as desired salt, to taste pepper, to taste chicken broth or chicken base, to taste sherry wine, to taste mushrooms sliced/ sautéed or canned, amount as desired flour and water paste for a thin sauce My brother brought this over for Thanksgiving and we all loved it. Amounts depends on how much you like to use. For a large casserole use 2 large bunches of broccoli. Sauté onions and almonds in a bit of oil, butter or margarine. Add cooked broccoli and cooked mushrooms to the pan. Season to taste. Add some chicken base or stock with sherry wine to taste. Finish with some flour paste to make a thin sauce ( thickened slightly) or thicken as desired. Serves 10 to 12 Note: I would also add some chopped red bell pepper for color if desired
