Blanche the broccoli rabe in salted water till crisp tender, Drain and set aside. Sauté in some olive oil, butter or margarine the chopped onions until tender, add the mushrooms, one cup of chicken or vegetable broth and cook till mushrooms softened and wilted. over med -high heat. or a near boil. Stir in the drained broccoli rabe and cook until tender and/or most of liquids evaporate and mixture is thickened. Stir in the walnuts and pine nuts, season to taste. Stir in some cooking sherry and cook and stir a few minutes longer.
