2, 15 oz can black beans 1/2 cup chunky salsa 1/4 cup yellow cornmeal 1/2 cup white or whole wheat flour 1 tsp cumin 1 clove garlic salt and pepper to taste These are surprisingly delicious and they held together very nicely. A good alternative to have on hand for non meat eaters. Rinse and drain beans. Place in food processor and process until almost smooth. Add remainders and process well mixed Divide into 6 portions and make patties with your hands. Chill well. To prepare: heat some olive oil in skillet and cook until browned on both sides. Serves on buns with lettuce, tomatoes and onions. Note: add some fresh chopped parsley or cilantro if desired to the bean mixture Serves 6
