CAULIFLOWER WITH CREAMED SHRIMP (Blomkal med Stuvede Rejer) Denmark from: The wonderful World of cooking 1 tablespoon butter 1 tablespoon flour 1/4 teaspoon salt dash of black pepper 1 cup milk 2 jars(5 oz each) tiny shrimp, drained or canned 1 head cauliflower, cooked 12 asparagus tips, cooked Melt butter in saucepan. Blend in flour, salt and pepper.Stir until smooth, about 1 minute. Add milk slowly, continuing to stir. cook until thick, about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cover. Steam for 10 Minutes. Add shrimp to white sauce. Heat. Pour over hot cauliflower. Garnish with asparagus. serves 4 Note: I garnished with cooked string beans. Lei, Bronx,NY USA
