home > recipes > meat > carpaccio with capers in white truffle oil
from Yardley, PA, USA This is a very basic recipe that can be easily built open to suit your tastes. Try adding your own seasonings to this to get it just right. 8 oz filet mignon 1 1/2 - 2 T white truffle oil capers for garnish fresh ground black pepper for garnish Freeze filet for an hour to prepare it for cutting. Slice the beef into paper-thin slices across the grain and arrange in a plate. If you're adding your own seasonings, whisk them together with the white truffle oil in a small bowl. Otherwise, skip this and simply drizzle the oil over the arranged beef. Optionally, season with salt, hot pepper flakes, or any other dry seasoning and let sit for five to ten minutes. Garnish with the capers. Serves 2.
