PALMA BISCUITS Pastas de Palma -Spain from: The Wonderful World of Cooking 1/3 cup butter 1/2 cup sugar 1 egg 1 tablespoon grated lemon peel 1 1/2 cups sifted flour 9 glaceed cherries, chopped fine 9 glaceed cheeries, halved 18 filiberts confectioners' sugar Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and lemon rind. Mix well. Stir in flour and chopped cherries. Roll between waxed paper to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut with 2 inch cookie cutter. Place on greased baking sheet. Top each cookie with 1/2 cherry and 1 filbert. Bake at 375 degs for 8-10 minutes Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar makes 1 1/2 doz Lei Bronx, NY USA

PALMA BISCUITS
Pastas de Palma -
Spain
from: The Wonderful World of Cooking

1/3 cup
butter
1/2 cup
sugar
1
egg
1 tablespoon grated

1 1/2 cups sifted
flour
9 glaceed cherries, chopped fine
9 glaceed cheeries, halved
18 filiberts
confectioners'
sugar

Cream butter and sugar.
Add
egg and lemon rind. Mix well.
Stir in
flour and chopped cherries.
