Place peach mixture into large casserole dish. Make topping. Combine flour, salt, sugar and baking powder and blend well. Cut in butter or margarine until coarse crumbs. Combine fork beaten egg and milk and stir into flour mixture to make a batter. Spread batter evenly over peach mixture. Bake 425 about 30 minutes or topping is golden. Serve warm by spooning topping and peaches into serving dishes. Serve with ice cream, or whipped cream if desired.
