Drain. Fry bacon. Remove from pan. Saute onions in bacon drippings. Add brown sugar and flour to pan. Add water and vinegar to thicken. Add salt/pepper. Pour sauce and bacon bits over cabbage. Mix and serve. POLKA DOT CARROTS 6 MEDIUM CARROTS 1/4 CUP BUTTER 1 TABLES MINCED ONION 1/2 TEAS SALT 1/2 TEAS SUGAR 1/8 TEAS PEPPER 1/2 CUP PIMIENTO STUFFED GREEN OLIVES, SLICED Peel and slice carrots. Cook and drain. Meanwhile, melt butter, and add onion til soft. Add olives and all other ingredients. Pour over carrots to serve. BULGUR WITH BROCCOLI 1 CUP BULGUR 2 CUPS BOILING WATER OR BROTH 1 ONION CHOPPED 1 BUNCH BROCCOLI, CHOPPED 1/4 CUP ALMONDS, CHOPPED 1 GARLIC CRUSHED 1/2 TEAS DRY GINGER 1 TABLES SOY SAUCE 1 TABLES HONEY 1 1/2 TABLES OIL Add bulgur to boiling ligquid. Lower heat, cover. Simmer 20 mins. Saute onion, garlic in oil. Add broccoli pieces. Cover, simmer 5 mins. In a dish, mix soy sauce, ginger, honey. Mix bulgur, sauteed veggies. 4 CUPS SHREDDED
CABBAGE
2-3 SLICES
BACON, CHOPPED

ONION, CHOPPED
1 TABLES
BROWN SUGAR
1 TABLES
FLOUR
1/4 CUP WATER
1/6 CUP
VINEGAR
1/4 TEAS
SALT
DASH PEPPER

Cook
cabbage in boiling salted water for 7 mins. Drain.
Fry bacon. Remove from pan. Saute onions in bacon drippings.
Add
brown sugar and flour to pan. Add water and vinegar to thicken.
Add
salt/pepper. Pour sauce and bacon bits over cabbage. Mix and serve.

POLKA
DOT CARROTS

6 MEDIUM CARROTS
1/4 CUP
BUTTER
1 TABLES MINCED
ONION
1/2 TEAS
SALT
1/2 TEAS
SUGAR
1/8 TEAS PEPPER
1/2 CUP PIMIENTO STUFFED
GREEN OLIVES, SLICED

Peel and slice carrots. Cook and drain.
Meanwhile,
melt butter, and add onion til soft. Add olives and all other
ingredients. Pour over carrots to serve.

BULGUR WITH
BROCCOLI

1 CUP BULGUR
2 CUPS BOILING WATER OR
BROTH
1
ONION CHOPPED
1 BUNCH
BROCCOLI, CHOPPED
1/4 CUP ALMONDS, CHOPPED
1
GARLIC CRUSHED
1/2 TEAS
DRY GINGER
1 TABLES
SOY
SAUCE
1 TABLES
HONEY
1 1/2 TABLES OIL

Add bulgur to boiling ligquid. Lower heat, cover.
Simmer 20 mins.
Saute
onion, garlic in oil.
Add
broccoli pieces. Cover, simmer 5 mins.
In a dish, mix
soy
sauce, ginger, honey.

sauce over and toss to serve. Top with
almonds.
