1/4 c. vinegar (red wine or apple) 1/2 c. sugar 3 cinnamon sticks 12 whole cloves Bring to a boil; simmer for 10 minutes. Strain and add enough boiling water to make 2 cups liquid. Dissolve sugar in this liquid. Chill gelatin mixture and when slightly thickened fold in or place on top of gelatin. Serves 4 to 6. NOTE: This sauce goes very well with ham.
