Rayna, what to do when life's simple pleasures elude you!!! I know the feeling, as I was stationed in Korea quite a few years and it seemed that you were only able to obtain whatever the military commissary people thought you should want--if I needed 10 items for a favorite recipe, I could expect to only find 9 of them! Here is a recipe my mother had for Russian Dressing. Hope it works. Recipe came from my mother's recipe collection which she got from a local television show, Arkansas Today, Channel 11, KTHV, 03/20/1991, "Cooking with Don Bingham". Russian Dressing 1/4 cup granulated sugar 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar or wine vinegar 3/4 teaspoon cloves, ground 1 clove garlic, whole 1/2 cup salad oil 1 cup tomato ketchup 1/2 cup water Mix all ingredients and shake well. Add tomato ketchup, salad oil and water. Mix well. Makes 2-1/2 cups. Glen Hosey, Springfield, VA, USA
