Combine meat, breadcrumbs, onion, pepper, 3 Tbs. lemon juice and water Mix well and form into 2 inch balls Brown meatballs in a skillet Remove meatballs from pan. Into drippings in pan add the broth and the remaining lemon juice Bring to a boil Stir in sugar and gingersnap crumbs Add meatballs to the sauce and simmer, covered for 10 minutes. Uncover, stir and cook, 5 minutes longer Serve over noodles or rice and garnish with poppy seeds Yield: 6 servings
