SAVORY MEAT LOAF(Kottfars) Swedish from: the wonderful world of cooking 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs 1 1/2 cup milk 1 egg,beaten 1 pound beef ground 1/4 pound ground pork or sausage meat 1 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg 4 diced bacon slices, crisp cooked. drained 2 onions, sliced thin Saok crumbs in milk for several minutes. Add next 5 ingredients. Mix. Place 1/3 of meat mixture in bottom of loaf pan. Spread with 1/2 of the bacon -onion mixture . Cover with 1/2 of the remaining meat mixture. Spread with remaining bacon-onion mixture. top with remaining meat. Pack down into loaf pan. Bake at 350 degs for 1 hour. Lei Bronx,NY USA
