from US 1/2 oz sea palm or wakame (alaria), dried 1 oz arame, dried 4 shiitake mushrooms, dried 2 cup cucumber, peeled, seeded and sliced 1 bell pepper, sliced (yellow/green) 1 large tomato, seeded and chopped 2 Tbsp rice vinegar 1 garlic clove, pressed 2 tsp tamari or "lite" soy sauce (or to taste) 1 Tbsp toasted golden sesame oil several shakes hot pepper sesame oil Put sea vegetables and mushrooms into a large bowl. Cover with water and let soak 15 minutes. Stem and slice mushrooms, set aside. Strain sea vegetables, rinse in cool water, and strain again. Add vegetables, mushrooms and the rest of the ingredients to a large bowl. Toss well and refrigerate. Serves 4.
