Shrimp Scampi 2 lbs large fresh shrimp 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter 1/2 cup oil (olive or salad) 2 tbs lemon jce or white wine 1/4 cup minced green onions 1 tbs finely minced garlic 1 tsp salt freshly ground pepper 1/4 cup finely minced fresh parsley Shell shrimp leaving tail on. Remove vein from back.Wash and pat dry with paper towel. Place in shallow pan in one layer.. Heat butter with remaining ingredients turning shrimp several times in the mixture. Broil 3-4 inches from heat in hot broiler only till done..not tough (about 5 min.). pour butter mixture over shrimp on serving platter. Garnish with lemon wedges and parsley bouquets or water cress . Serves 6 Serve them the best and they will keep coming

Shrimp Scampi

This is a very good recipe. I've never made this before and the results were comparable to the restaraunts that I have been to.

My favorite shrimp scampi is that of Red Lobster, and I've been trying to duplicate the recipe for a while now. This, however, is quite good also. It has been the best recipe that I've ever used.
